ENLACE Program

The ENgaging LAtino Communities For Education (ENLACE)  program is present for the purpose of promoting the educational enrichment for pre-college students from historically under-represented ethnic groups. Activities include, but are not limited to mentoring, tutoring, independent study, counseling, educational access, field trips, leadership workshops, college courses, summer enrichment, family and Community outreach, Curriculum, Truancy/Drop-out prevention, employment and mentorship programs, and provisions for scholarship incentives.

We are in our fourth year of a five-year program with the 21st Century grant. Mesa Vista Schools utilize the 21st Century After/Summer School Programs as a resource to support our district (EPSS) Educational Plan for Student Success, Goals. Our district EPSS goals are in reading, math, and parent involvement.

21st Century After/Summer School Programs

The 21st Century Grant After/Summer School Program will again support academic achievement at all the Mesa Vista Consolidated Schools this school year. Certified teachers will provide a rich curriculum that includes mathematics, language arts, and enrichment activities. Student's participation in the program is based on academic needs.

21st Century programs support the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; and offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs. This is the fifth year the Mesa Vista Consolidated Schools provides this program to its community.
